Refund & Cancellation Policy

Medinest Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Surgynest Healthcare Private Limited, operating under the brand name Medinest, we are committed to ensuring a transparent and fair experience for every patient. Given the nature of healthcare services, our Refund & Cancellation Policy is designed to be clear, reasonable, and consistent across all service categories.

1. Consultation Fees

1.1 Cancellation Before Appointment

If you cancel a consultation at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will not be eligible for a refund. However, you may reschedule once, free of charge, within 7 days.

1.2 After Consultation Has Commenced

Once a consultation has begun — whether in-person or online — the consultation fee is non-refundable.

1.3 No-Show Policy
  • The consultation fee will be forfeited if you fail to attend without prior cancellation.
  • Repeated no-shows (3 or more) may result in temporary suspension of booking privileges.
1.4 Doctor Unavailability

If your assigned doctor is unavailable and Medinest cannot provide a replacement within 24 hours, you will receive a full refund or an option to reschedule at no additional cost.

2. Diagnostic Services

2.1 Cancellation Before Sample Collection

You may cancel a diagnostic booking and receive a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled test date. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before will not be eligible for a refund.

2.2 After Sample Collection

Once a sample has been collected or the diagnostic procedure has commenced, no refund will be issued for the test in question.

2.3 Failed or Inconclusive Tests

If a test result is inconclusive due to a laboratory or technical error on Medinest's part, the test will be re-conducted at no additional cost. If re-testing is not feasible, a full refund will be issued for that specific test.

3. Treatments & Surgical Procedures

3.1 Deposits & Advance Payments

Surgical procedure deposits are refundable only if cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled procedure date. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before may incur a cancellation charge of up to 25% of the advance amount to cover administrative and preparation costs.

3.2 Post-Procedure

No refunds will be issued for surgical procedures once they have been performed.

3.3 Medically Necessary Cancellations

If a procedure is cancelled on medical grounds — either on the advice of the treating surgeon or due to a change in your health status — a full refund of the advance payment will be processed, subject to submission of supporting medical documentation.

4. Fertility Services

4.1 Initial Consultation

Fertility consultation cancellations follow the same policy as general consultations (see Section 1).

4.2 Treatment Cycles

Fertility treatment fees (e.g., IVF, IUI, ICSI) are partially refundable based on the stage of treatment at the time of cancellation:

80% refund of the cycle fee.
40%
After medications commenced but before the procedure
40% refund of the cycle fee.
0%
After the procedure has commenced
No refund will be issued.

Certain third-party costs (e.g., laboratory fees, specialist charges, medications) may be non-refundable regardless of the stage.

5. Post-Surgical & Home Care Services

5.1 Cancellation Before Service Commencement

Home care service bookings can be cancelled with a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the first scheduled visit.
